Guest spa ratings appear on the pages of an increasing number of - but not all - spas. The spa ratings (the averages) are not displayed until spas has been rated by a minimum of 10 guests.
After a guest has visited a spa he or she is asked to rate the spa in terms of 'quality of treatments', 'value for money' and 'ambience & decor'.
The spa ratings represent an average of the scores recorded by guests. The rating is on a scale of 1 to 5.
The averages are rounded off, thus a spa averaging 4.5 and above will be displayed as Five Stars and a spa averaging 4.4 and below will be displayed as Four Stars. And so forth.
The new spa ratings by guests are added on a daily basis. All spa ratings (more than 6 months old) are removed from the equation, thus keeping the spa rating up to date.
